Review of the book "Book of a Thousand Days" by Shannon Hale. Young adult retelling of the fairytale about a princess (and her maid) shut up in a tower for refusing to marry a villain, set in a unique fantasy land inspired by medieval Mongolia. An excellent, poetic book, though darker in places than fans of Hale's other work might expect.
