Summary
Tom was expecting the air raid sirens. The bombs. The orphanage shaking down to the foundations as they all crammed in the bomb shelter besides the eyed potatoes. He was expecting the stale fear sweat scent as they all huddled together. He was even expecting Mrs. Cole to down a flask of gin without even sharing with the other matrons.
He was not expecting a polite rap against the bomb shelter door, and an even voice calling “Hello?”

Summary
What Albus Dumbledore never expected to find, in Wools Orphanage was not one but two magical children. The young eleven-year-old blonde in question, smiled serenely at him, meeting his piercing gaze with bright doe eyes. Luna explained, “I came to be at Wools after a fire destroyed my home. You see my mom was a brilliant witch but, she did love to experiment. And one of her spells went wrong. I lost both of my parents that day. It was awful, but I’ve got Tom."

Summary
They said he was the devil incarnate. That he was possessed by Satan because no normal child was as smart as he was, could speak as articulate as he could, was not as freakish as he acted.
They called him wicked and deceitful.
But Tom knew the face of the Devil, knew he existed in a green eyed orphan named Harry Potter.

Summary
Here he was, expending a significant amount of his mental energy to keep his thoughts regulated and normal, and what did he have to show for it? People thinking he was abnormal and creepy for a five year old. That was what he had to show for all his hard work. It was patently unfair.
Tom Riddle has a natural affinity towards passive legilimency. He grows up completely convinced everyone around him can also read minds, but they are too stupid to utilize the skill properly. Being surrounded by idiots is hard.

Summary
Beautiful people are revered, put on a pedestal untouchable to those who do not bear the same visage. They are the old gods and goddesses taken mortal form, their divinity eminent in their exquisite beauty and grace-worshipped by those mortals whom fail to compare.
And for those who fail the standards? It is simply a fortunate enough thing for beauty to be a flame fickle enough to be imitated by those who do not possess the same warmth.
