Shang Qinghua has made many bad decisions in his life, and he will make many more in the future, but he maintains that his worst decision was to sell Proud Immortal Demon's Way to a cash grab video game company with limited legal protections for himself. Recently, he has noticed how a certain new hit gacha game has uncomfortably familiar characters and plots that he definitely wasn't consulted about.
Shang Qinghua now needs the help of his old coding buddy, Shen Yuan, to get the evidence he needs to go after the biggest up-and-coming gaming studio.
Meanwhile, the new video game is experiencing some weird glitches that the developers are having trouble explaining away to the public. The video game project manager, Mobei Jun is taking issue with how his superiors are reacting and enlists popular streamer, Luo Binghe, to explore the game and give him answers for what's happening.

Miya’s back slammed into a ridged stone pillar and she winced, their blades crossing at her throat, so their faces were inches apart. Those goddamn eyes again.
Sakusa shoved off of her and jogged to the center of the courtyard. She called back over her shoulder, “Fighting is about using the space around you. Always be aware of where you are in relation to your opponent.”
When she turned around, Miya was standing right in front of her. “Uhn—” she grunted when Miya tackled her to the ground, the air punched out of her lungs as she was pinned on her back.
