To start off his year of travel and liaison with a life away from work, Noriaki Kakyoin decided it was time to venture further out of the country, settling to take a week in the Swiss mountains to relax, unwind, and paint.
The life of the idle rich escapes him, he had never grasped quite how they managed to balance the expensive trips across the globe having never of worked, and what they exactly did with their time.
He had hoped his opening week away would be peaceful; he did not count however, on the cast of characters that were similarly escaping to the mountains, to be so intriguing. To have so many secrets to hide, and pasts for Noriaki to uncover.
And when in the midst of the forced community, someone steps out of line, Noriaki becomes particularly drawn in by one man in the cohort. One who dresses in rich, well-tailored suits, and has dark ebony hair. Who acts cold one moment, and invites him to drink the next.
It does not take long for Noriaki to realise, his stay at the lodge will not be at all how he envisioned it.

Autumn 1935, Manston Airfield.
Eleven Squadron have been chosen to share their knowledge and wisdom with the Jagdwaffe of Germany's Luftwaffe. A move to strengthen the somewhat shaky relations between the two countries.
Eleven Squadron, however, prefers hijinks and shenanigans over being the face of the Royal Air Force, and so their first meeting with the Jagdwaffe does not go how Group Captain Haines wishes.
A move that leaves their visiting German's questioning how the next six months are going to unfold, or even if they can trust the raggedy crew to fly a plane let alone take anything seriously.
With their time together starting shakily, a shockwave hits the little village of Manston when a murder is committed and a finger is pointed at one of the German pilots, the scars of the Great War not yet forgotten or healed.
