That's what made the soul collecting gig so great – visiting the Underworld meant he got a little time away from prying eyes. He could relax and talk the ear off the boatman, who wouldn't judge him and couldn't care less about the drama on Olympus. Well, as far as he could tell, anyway.
But something's going sideways. Zeus is scheming, Hermes is certain of it, and the secrets and family drama are starting to drip into the Underworld, too. He's not used to being out of the loop, and so far, he's not a fan. Though it sure would be nice if Charon would help him out, since he obviously knows something.
