Summary
Recently, I learned of a manga called Cheat Slayer that was cancelled after just one chapter due to accusations of plagiarism. But what got me interested was people comparing it to The Boys, but with isekai MCs instead of superheroes.
So, I read it and ... it was terrible. Absolutely terrible.
However, I couldn't help but think that a good story is possible. I love isekai stories, and I find the premise of evil versions of popular isekai leads to be quite interesting. I also love Garth Ennis (though I disagree with his superhero hatred), and I wonder what The Boys But With Isekai would truly be like.
So, here's my rewrite of Cheat Slayer. The same idea, but hopefully better executed.
