Phil clamps a hand over his mouth, visibly gritting his teeth.
"Everything I did, I did for you, Tommy. Do you really think you would have survived for this long without me?"
Tommy lets the tear slide down his face and under Phil's fingers.

Set sometime after S1E2. In the midst of tense treaty negotiations, a visiting nobleman takes a violent interest in Merlin and threatens the servant's budding trust in his prince.
“I don’t appreciate being told what to do by a servant,” he growled, pressing his meaty fingers into the crevices of Merlin’s throat and lifting him onto his toes.
Merlin tried to squeak an apology through an airway too obstructed to function properly...Just as Merlin determined he’d need to use his magic to save himself, Oswiu dropped him with a grunt. “Tell your master not to send his servant to do his dirty work.” -

When he wakes up sick after a long night galavanting about in the city, he makes sure that he takes enough medication that it won't interfere with the very carefully planned field trip for his beloved students.
All goes well until Leon Lovell, the rich older brother of his most beloved student and the one who has basically funded the trip, comes into his class before any of the students come in and start questioning him.
Leon Lovell, who is tall and rich, and handsome.
